There is much to be considered when thinking about becoming a Work From Home Mom! Everything from the age or ages of your children to whether or not your husband will help with the housework even though you’re home all day, to- Will it provide the income needed to equal working outside the home?

When considering the age of your children, I suggest doing a trial run on your day off. If you have one child coming home at noon, can you still be productive without that child feeling neglected? Just this one element can cause more problems than you can even imagine. I would have to include an article on Child Psychology in order to fully explain how it can form the person your child grows up to be.

I’m not saying it shouldn’t be done. In fact it can be the most wonderful plan you ever created for family life at home! I’m just saying that is very important that you explore each and every avenue of what would take place when you make the choice to become a Work From Home Mom.

For example, if your Kindergartner comes home at noon, are you ready to end your work day? You could of course take a lunch break and spend some special time with him/her until you resume working….or could you? It is very important to explore the emotional health involved in your 5 year old child’s emotional well being and make-up if you’re going to be a Work From Home Mom.

Of course if you have teenagers bombing through the door at 2:30 in the afternoon, I promise your work day has ended. Teenagers need you more than ever! They just don’t know it. Only you and your situation can mold home life into the dream job you’re considering. It Can be done! Always remember that raising kids and Working From Home are two different jobs.

Each and every circumstance is entirely different, so please start with a list of needs vs. desires when it comes to becoming a Work From Home Mom.
